Referral Process for School Admission

1. The local school district refers applicants to CSD by submitting an application packet.

2. Complete applications are reviewed by the Admissions Review Committee to determine if CSD offers a program that can meet the student's needs.

3. Students who are recommended for an Assessment for Suitability of Placement come to CSD for an assessment of up to 60 calendar days. Students are placed in the appropriate classes and individual assessments are completed during that time, as well.

4. An End-of-Assessment meeting is held to discuss the results of the assessment period. If the IEP team is in agreement that the placement is appropriate for the student, a new IEP is written placing the student at CSD.
