your Deaf child

As a parent, the words “fail”, “deaf or hard of hearing” bring up more questions than answers. We scramble to figure out what it means. As parents our image of being a mom or dad is altered. My child won’t hear my voice, won’t be able to tell me what he or she needs, won’t be able to make friends, and won’t be able to graduate high school…… Imagining the limitations and getting stuck in the whirlpool of won’ts is scary, confusing and typical for parents. Most deaf babies are born to parents who can hear and often have had no experience with deafness. So let us share with you the possibilities for your deaf child so you can see how your child can blossom!
