Reading Mentor Program

The Reading Mentor Program is a volunteer-based program that has been a part of the CSD Library for over 10 years. The program aims to match 4th and 5th graders who are in critical need of one-on-one reading support with an adult volunteer who serves as a bilingual model for them. On average, we have about 20 to 25 kids each year. Students have benefited greatly from the program thanks to the motivation and dedication of our volunteer mentors.

The program is provided weekly for a 30 minutes per session. It takes place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with two time slots: 2:35 to 3:05 pm and 3:10 to 3:40 pm.
