Prevention Strategies

To continue to keep CSD safe, it is recommended that prevention strategies remain in place to safely continue in-person instruction. These include:

  • Vaccinations for staff who are eligible

  • Vaccinations for students 12 and up

  • Stay home if you are sick or have COVID-19 symptoms

  • Use face coverings

  • Wash/sanitize hands before and after eating and after coughing/sneezing

  • Engage in outdoor activities whenever possible

  • Cleaning and disinfecting to promote a healthy environment

  • Be tested with BinaxNOW rapid testing, when needed

The above information includes recently updated guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The following is a summary of CSD’s COVID-19 Safety Plan (CSP). The goal of this plan is to promote the health and safety of students and employees during the 21-22 school year. We recognize that some of our students have underlying medical conditions and encourage families to consult with their student’s healthcare providers as needed with regard to health and safety protocols and sub-mit medical documentation of the need for any special accommodations.
